RE: Guns and RVs

Without taking the time as someone could, you can get a print out on one of the many websites. One is ATF if I remember correctly. Also try Googleing CCW. I have been stopped in some states and when I notified the officer I was carrying some of the replies are -- "fine, you don't show me yours and I won't show you mine".

RE: Guns and RVs

Reciprocal recognition of concealed-carry privileges and rights vary state-to-state, are negotiated between individual states, and sometimes additionally depend on the residency status of the license holder. While 37 states have reciprocity agreements with at least one other state and several states honor all out-of-state concealed carry permits, some states have special requirements like training courses or safety exams, and therefore do not honor permits from states that do not have such requirements for issue. Some states make exceptions for persons under the minimum age (usually 21) if they are active or honorably-discharged members of the military or a police force (the second of these two is also allowed under Federal law). States that do not have this exemption generally do not recognize any license from states that do; an example of this is the State of Washington's refusal to honor any Texas CHL as Texas has the military exception to age.

RE: Guns and RVs

Not sure if this has been covered but make an application for a CCW (Carrying Concealed Weapon). Most states recognize most states and you can print out a list of the states. I am a licensed collector and have had a CCW for about 10 years. Again I apologize if this has been covered.

RE: Digital TV Coming

Addressing my original question again. I continually call my digital converter box which we have not used yet, a "cable box". Sorry for the wrong terminally. My question should be: Will my digital converter box work with our roof antenna? I thank those that interpreted what I meant.

RE: Digital TV Coming

Yes, we have cable while in our permanent site but when we travel if I understand you our cable box (which we have) will work through our roof antenna, correct?

Digital TV Coming

We are fulltimers and have cable where we are presently. When we travel (no cable) we were wondering if we use our roof antenna can we get TV. We do have a cable box we have not needed yet having cable. What happens when we travel -- cable box and roof antenna??

RE: Wiring a switch to a fuse

Problem is that it appears almost impossible to get to the wiring behind the fuse block which is on the tunnel at the passenger side. I guess I wanted to know if it could be wired from the outside or fuse side?? Thanks

Wiring a switch to a fuse

Have '08 Cobalt and will have to pull 1 fuse. I have heard about wiring a switch to the fuse instead of pulling it. Any details please? Thanks

Microwave and Convection Oven

For years while cruising the ocean wife and I had a microwave-convection oven on our boat. Now the last RV we had recently (just sold it) we had to replace the microwave and naturally encase it in the cabinet as it originally came. Now we want to replace this microwave in our newer RV with a micro-convection unit. We noticed the one in now has vents on the sides. The one we had installed in the other RV was just a normal counter top model. Now the question. We think the convection model we get will be a counter top model but we will enclose it as a regular microwave. There are vents that encircle the installation on the front trim pieces. What is your opinion since this is now a convection-microwave to put in the cabinet?

Fulltiming for one month, previously part-time RVers have heard not to leave the valves open. Now I notice all of the fulltimers here leave both valves open all the time. Opinions please. Thanks

Opinions please: Coach insurance

Sold our waterfront condo and fulltiming in 1 week. Wife is a former State Farm agent. We would like to know your opinions on the best coach insurance for fulltiming. Some frown on fulltime. We will have Good Sam CPS and ERS. We have used the ERS and it was great.

WIring Scheme for Towing

Sold our '95 (Ford) Class C Coachmen and picking up our '02 (Ford) Gulf Stream Class C next week. Wondering what the wiring scheme would be. I would think according to a 4-pin blade ('02) I bought to replace the 4-pin round ('95) on one end of our pigtail (dinghy) that the wiring was standard. Can someone please inform me on the scheme, i.e.: yellow, white (ground), brown, green? We have a red and green on the '01 Saturn we tow. Probably need to use a test light when we pick it up but thought I could get it changed on our pigtail connector before that.

RE: CAMERA ADVICE

From 2 professionals. Obviously you should go digital. In minutes you can print what you have taken on your computer and printer. We suggest to many, not to buy what the professionals call "a Party Camera". That's a camera with literally not much of a "zoom" or telephoto as they used to call it (i.e.: 2x, 3x, 4x). We would recommend since you will be an outdoors person as we all are, a zoom of not less then "10x". We recently observed a Peregrine Falcon about to feast on a gull he had captured (now dead) about 100' away. Our 12x zoom on my wife's camera filled the frame with no problem. Panasonic has a 10x zoom quite reasonable and probably many others.
